Stone Temple Pilots is an American rock band from San Diego, California. The
rock band originally emerged as part of the grunge movement in the early 1990s. The band had one of the biggest hits since the success of Core and Purple with the single "Sour Girl". The band's sound is considered to be a mix of the alternative rock of the 1980s and 1990s with the hard rock of the 1970s, although the band often gives each of their records a unique musical style. Currently the band has 4 members including Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, Eric Kretz, and Jeff Gutt.
